Job Description
Due to continued growth, we are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Control Assistant to join our Maintenance Control Team based at Oldbury.
As a Maintenance Control Assistant, you will be working as part of a team responsible for the effective cost management of breakdowns and maintenance of our fleet of DPD vans.
Your key focus will be to deal with incoming calls, ensuring that they are answered and acted upon to minimize disruption to the network. You will analyze data to prevent reoccurrence and organize planned maintenance across the UK. You will liaise with maintenance suppliers to ensure efficient repairs are carried out, and all relevant cost data will be recorded in our in-house systems.
Other key responsibilities of this role will include:
* Communicating with other business lines to resolve any issues that arise.
* Raising system order numbers for external suppliers.
* Invoice processing and queries.
* Running daily, weekly, monthly, and annual reports, including service reports, MOT, and performance reports.
* General department administration duties.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must be able to demonstrate fantastic customer service skills ideally gained within a busy call center or pressurized environment. You will be a strong communicator with an excellent telephone manner. You will exhibit strong organizational skills and have the ability to analyze data. We will also expect you to:
* Work effectively as part of a team.
* Be a proficient IT user with experience of the Microsoft package or Google Suite.
* Have a “Can Do” attitude towards work and your duties.
* Demonstrate a high level of accuracy, self-motivation, and organization.
