Our client, a leading architecture practice in Central London, is seeking an experienced HR Manager to join their leadership team. Your job title is Quality Manager. The primary function of the role is to maintain and improve our Quality and Environmental Management Systems to meet the requirements of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. You will be a member of the Admin Team and will support other members of the Team as necessary. You will report to the Associate Director and/or Director responsible for Quality Management.
Your duties will include some or all the following:
1. Reviewing and monitoring quality control processes across all projects and support functions to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.
2. Conducting internal audits and quality reviews, including auditing RIBA quality plans, by adhering to a structured internal audit programme to maintain and enhance processes.
3. Training and providing comprehensive guidance to staff on quality management control, document management systems (e.g., Deltek PIM), and continual improvement initiatives.
4. Communicating with staff and management regarding quality control processes, and developing and implementing robust quality and environmental assurance policies, procedures, and objectives to ensure the provision of high-quality architectural services and ongoing improvements.
5. Managing project quality reviews for all project teams to guarantee delivery of quality-assured and verified project deliverables.
6. Championing the use of Deltek PIM for project accounting, resource management, and database management, ensuring enhanced system capabilities through training and ongoing support.
7. Identifying and recommending solutions to weaknesses in project documentation processes and promoting continual improvement across quality and environmental management systems.
8. Evaluating performance by monitoring practice-wide risks and opportunities and conducting aspect & impact risk analysis.
9. Addressing nonconformities through root cause analysis and implementing preventive and corrective actions.
10. Dealing with BSI auditors for ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 quality review and audits, achieving successful external audits.
11. Reporting to the monthly project meeting and biannual quality management reviews, providing insights into continual improvement initiatives.
12. Establishing, monitoring, and assessing quality and environmental objectives aligned with the practice’s goals.
You will also be expected to:
1. Participate in other activities related to the day-to-day administration of the office, including assisting with overflow and cover for Project Administration as required.
2. Undertake such additional duties as the Company may reasonably require of you from time to time.
