Tree Tots Day Nursery is located in the lovely town of Poynton. We are expanding our amazing nursery team, and we are looking to appoint a Room Leader to support the care and education of our children and assist in the running of our established team.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead the implementation of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum within the allocated room and ensure that all children attending the setting are kept safe and receive rich and stimulating play experiences which support all aspects and components of the EYFS curriculum.
2. Have overall room management.
3. Work with the Manager and Deputy Manager to continuously improve the quality of childcare and education.
4. Support the development of the staff team within the room.
5. Provide high standards of quality within the nursery including the environment, resources, and experiences offered to children.
6. Ensure the effective implementation of key person procedures within their rooms and to be a key person carrying out all related responsibilities in building relationships with the full group of children in the allocated room and their families.
7. Lead planning for the EYFS curriculum and maintain accurate and effective children’s records.
8. Promote good and effective partnership with parents/carers.
9. Support the development of good practice with regard to special needs and inclusion.
10. Meet requirements of regulatory bodies with relation to EYFS matters, special needs, child protection, Health and Safety and ensure that company policies and procedures are adhered to.
Minimum Requirements:
1. At least 1 year’s experience in a Nursery Room.
2. Level 3 or above qualification in Early Years Childcare.
3. Excellent knowledge & understanding of the EYFS & Statutory framework.
4. Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
5. Ability to use your own initiative.
6. Your passion to be shown in your day-to-day interaction with children.
