Business Support Assistant Hourly Rate: £13.48 Location: County Hall, Glenfield (Hybrid - 2 days in office, 3 days from home) Job Type: Full-time (37 hours per week, Monday to Friday) We are seeking a Business Support Assistant to join our clients Secretariats team, supporting the Directors and Heads of Service within the Children & Family Services department. This role is ideal for someone who demonstrates professional standards and exceptional organisational skills. Day-to-day of the role: Manage diary appointments, arrange meetings, and handle daily routine inboxes for senior management. Take responsibility for the planning and organisation of meetings, including the preparation of all relevant materials and documentation. Take accurate minutes during meetings and produce post-meeting documentation and support. Serve as the first point of contact for enquiries from MPs, schools, partners, voluntary and community organisations, agencies, and the public. Manage generic inboxes on a daily basis. Provide a comprehensive range of business support services, including administrative and secretarial functions for senior management. Support the administration of complex databases, ensuring all systems are updated accurately and maintained effectively for auditing purposes. Receive and handle emails, telephone calls, and ensure that visitors are dealt with appropriately. Develop and compile reports, integrate and produce statistical analysis for Management and Senior Management, and handle Freedom of Information enquiries. Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience in a Secretariat or Personal Assistant role. Strong organisational skills and the ability to coordinate multiple tasks efficiently. Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with external agencies. Proficiency in managing complex databases and producing statistical reports.
