About the role
This role is working with our dedicated Networks Team working primarily for an electricity distribution network operator, a gas transporter and a telecoms infrastructure provider.
We are a closely-knit team who work together to support each other in delivering excellent client service. Therefore being committed to our clients and being able to work as part of a team is fundamental to this role. We are keen to give our team members responsibility and encourage people to develop their careers with us. We want everyone to take pride in his or her work and progress to their maximum potential. This role has opportunities for progression.
Working in an international law firm that deals with demanding work is challenging, but we like to have a life outside of work too. We have adopted an agile working policy that really helps you work around your own circumstances; whether that involves flexibility around core hours or working from home.
There is a wide array of training courses available to all depending on your needs.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
The team deals with easements, leases and transfers in relation to equipment and rights for gas and electricity. This involves working with the client's surveyors to complete a high volume of transactions, managed through our case management system, Liberate. This entails negotiation of documentation, detailed review of title and replies to enquiries and reporting to the client using their preferred methods throughout the transaction.
The team also deals with telecommunications matters so the role will involve handling the negotiation of Telecommunications Code Agreements, telecoms leases and freehold acquisitions of land. Again, this involves working with the client's asset managers and estates suppliers to complete a high volume of transactions in very tight timescales, managed through our case management system, Liberate. Again, negotiation of documentation is necessary together with a detailed review of title and replies to enquiries and reporting to the client using their preferred methods throughout the transaction.
You will be working as part of a busy team, supporting and working closely with a partner and other senior team members. You will be managing your own files and you will have direct contact with clients and agents. You will also liaise with our other real estate teams to help co-ordinate a broad service to our clients.
In addition to working with utilities clients you may also become involved with some of our investment clients in delivering specific Networks advice.
We are committed to providing excellent client service in accordance with KPIs. We aim to provide timely and pragmatic advice to clients and to build and maintain strong client relationships.
