ARE YOU LOOKING FOR YOUR FIRST ROLE IN HR OR DEVELOPMENT OF YOUR HR KNOWLEDGE?
Waylands are growing! Due to the success of the business and the expansion of the staff team, we have an exciting opportunity for a Trainee HR Advisor to join our Team. We are looking for someone who has some experience in HR (ideally CIPD Level 3 qualified), but would support someone through CIPD studies.
The Trainee HR Advisor will provide support to the wider HR and Payroll team. You will be responsible for providing general advisory and administrative HR support to the managers, referring more complex cases to the Head of HR as well as offering support to managers on HR policies, practices and how to apply them. You will play a critical role in the team so being able to take initiative, multi-task and work to tight deadlines is crucial.
The department is also responsible for the input of payroll for the company. Together with the rest of the HR team you will be involved in checking the payroll information that comes in from our managers, using Sage 50 payroll to enter the data, dealing with payroll queries from staff members, understanding HMRC payroll reporting and ensuring employee’s pension contributions are input into NEST. You will learn about things like sick pay, maternity & paternity pay, benefits in kind and the living wage, all of which will assist in your HR career.
You will be a self-starter, with a completer/finisher attitude, attention to detail, a willingness to learn both HR and payroll and will be confident in supporting the management team in the Group HR manager’s absence. The HR & payroll function deals with confidential and sensitive information, so discretion is very important.
