We're currently looking for an apprentice trained, night shift engineer to join a leading engineering team at a reputable food manufacturing company. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in keeping our production lines running efficiently while contributing to continuous improvement across the plant.
Responsibilities:
- Work as part of a multi-disciplined engineering team to maintain and improve production equipment and site services.
- Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and respond to breakdowns in a timely and effective manner.
- Ensure machinery performance meets both quality and safety standards.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Production teams to resolve performance issues and communicate shift handovers clearly.
- Support continuous improvement (CI) and site projects involving new installations or upgrades. (Lots going on!)
Qualifications & Experience:
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent; time-served/apprentice trained
- HNC/HND desirable
- Either electrical or mechanical biased skillset
- Minimum 2 years' post-qualification experience in engineering.
- Experience in food manufacturing preferred.
Skills & Attributes:
- Multi-skilled with strong fault-finding abilities.
- Experience with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. PLC fault- finding advantageous
