Job Summary
We are seeking a Retail Manager to oversee the daily operations of our charity store, ensuring excellent customer service and maximising sales. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing staff and volunteers, merchandising products, and maintaining a welcoming shopping environment. This role includes working Saturdays.
Responsibilities
1. Supervising and motivating retail staff and volunteers to achieve sales targets
2. Managing donations and ensuring stock availability
3. Implementing effective visual merchandising displays
4. Developing and implementing sales strategies to drive business growth, including gift aid
5. Recruitment, training and supporting volunteers
6. Ensuring all relevant policies and procedures are adhered to, and conducting regular performance reviews for all team members
Qualifications
1. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team
2. Excellent organisational and time management abilities
3. Empathy with older people and volunteers
4. Effective communication skills to liaise with customers and staff
5. Merchandising experience
