About the role
As an integral part of the Volunteering Team, this role focuses on enhancing and sustaining a proactive corporate volunteering programme at the BHF. Success will hinge on close collaboration with colleagues in Retail and our Marketing Fundraisi ng and Engagement directo rate (MFE) .
Beyond corporate volunteering, you will support other directorates in involving volunteers and seek opportunities to increase volunteer participation across the BHF. As a senior team member, you will provide expert advice, support change governance, and ensure effective work prioritisation, working with internal teams and external partners to advance the BHFs mission through volunteering.
Key responsibilities include:
Enhanc ing and sustain ing a proactive corporate volunteering programme at the BHF
Collaborat ing closely with colleagues in Retail and MFE for successful programme delivery
Support ing other directorates in involving volunteers and increasing participation
Provid ing expert advice and support ing change governance as a senior team member
Ensur ing effective prioritisation of work and collaboration with internal teams and external partners
Advanc ing the BHFs mission through strategic volunteering initiatives
Working Arrangements
This is a 12 month fi xed-term contract, working until the 30th November 2025. This is a home-based role with some travel into BHF offices and across the UK.

We are looking for an experienced individual to enhance our volunteering programmes, with strong skills in stakeholder engagement, volunteer management systems, and project implementation. To be successful in this role you'll have:
A p roven track record with large-scale volunteer management in fast-paced environments
Skill s in engaging and influencing stakeholders at all levels
Good general knowledge of the third sector and the role of volunteers
An understanding of the complexities an d opportunities within Retail Volunteering
Experience of developing and managing corporate volunteering programmes
Familiarity with digital onboarding systems and stewardship platforms
Experience working across multi-site organisations with remote workers
