Nine Twenty Engineering & Manufacturing are proudly supporting a leading Manufacturing client in the recruitment of an Operations Manager for their Edinburgh production facility. This role offers the opportunity to take charge of day-to-day operations, working closely with production teams and the Factory General Manager to ensure smooth, efficient, and safe manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:
* Strategic Operations: Collaborate with senior management to develop and execute strategic initiatives aligned with site goals and objectives.
* Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement in operational efficiency, cost reduction, and productivity using Lean Manufacturing techniques.
* Project Management: Act as a key point of contact for all site-wide projects, ensuring timely execution and alignment with business objectives.
* Leadership: Provide strong leadership to the operations team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
* Team Development: Coach, mentor, and develop the team to enhance their skills and performance, contributing to a motivated and high-performing workforce.
* Safety & Compliance: Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to health and safety regulations, implementing best practices, and creating a culture of safety awareness.
* Budget Management: Oversee the operational budget, tracking expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Ideal Candidate Requirements:
* A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as engineering or food science; a master's degree is desirable.
* Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally in the FMCG sector.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and support cross-functional teams.
* Experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or above).
* Knowledge of production systems and project management experience.
* Strong technical skills, with the ability to manage both people and processes efficiently.
