About the Role
This position is within HARMAN’s Automotive business and is responsible for all day-to-day software testing infrastructure activities for globally developed amplifiers and speakers. Developing and managing resources to achieve global tools for reliability execution. He will be involved in specific needs for location and nearby facilities, getting the best way to implement it and analyze if it needs to be global or specific. This person needs to be in contact with validation teams and programs requirements to be ahead of technology implementation to provide the best automated solution.
Job Description
1. Lead and support infrastructure team of local and international team members
2. Architect scalable and robust and error free software solutions
3. Develop and release algorithms for testing amplifiers and speakers using our automated Anechoic systems using NI LabView/VeriStand/Test Stand and .NET.
4. Develop and release automated solutions to improve efficiencies of the global Anechoic platform.
5. Support and mentor team members on the use of automated tools and developing new measurements for automated testers.
6. Develops test strategies and plans in accordance with business and product requirements
7. Develop processes and procedures to support global reliability goals and initiatives
8. Develop innovative ways to expose and test automotive products
9. Gives guidance and direction to junior test engineers within group.
10. Creates automated solutions for automated test scripts using common scripting languages.
11. Enable manual and automated software testing along with session-based exploratory testing of the global validation HW/SW teams
12. Records, processes, and analyzes data with PC based tools and test instrumentation.
13. Follows CMMI/SPICE, ISO or other standards for supporting and maintaining test tool documentation.
14. Provides technical support for the resolution of various customer and interdepartmental issues on an as needed basis.
15. Identify common test setups, test racks and wiring – maintains test benches and test vehicles where available.
16. Demonstrates and maintains a safe driving record. Maintains and operates any vehicles within the group according to company vehicle policy.
17. Weekend work may be required from time to time to ensure program commitments are met
18. Plan and define test tools that needed for reliability
19. Work on direction and alignment with entire organization

21. Training, resources allocation and workload balancing
22. Managing and quote Equipment, Outsourcing, Licenses)
23. Hiring and interviewing candidates to get the correct staff
24. Resource and cost estimation
25. Resolves test disputes by reviewing test specifications, pass/fail criteria, and test processes with Design Engineering, test technicians, and management, making modifications where necessary
26. Project planning and RFQ Support (time and material, projects timing, coordination internal/external support)
27. Review and encourage Processes adherence
Basic Qualifications:
28. 10+ years in a product engineering or test engineering role in an embedded environment, preferably in automotive infotainment or consumer electronics.
29. 10+ years creating test plans and test cases.
30. 3-5 years hardware/software development and usage.
31. 3+ years LabView / VeriStand Development.
32. 5-7 years creating test scripts used in automated testing frameworks.
33. Demonstrated experience functioning in a highly collaborative, demanding, and fast-paced environment.
34. Detailed knowledge of anechoic testing, and various test design methodologies for speakers and amplifiers
35. Detailed knowledge of structured languages (C++, C#, .NET)
36. Working knowledge of system integration and relational databases (SQL, MySQL, etc.).
37. Working knowledge of multiple scripting languages (Perl, Python, etc.,).
38. Vehicle networking experience (CAN, A2B, etc.).
39. Software testing training (SQE, ISTQB, etc.,).
40. Automotive standards (ASPICE, IATF, ISO, etc.)
41. Exemplary verbal and written communication skills.
42. Creative problem-solver capable of creating and reproducing software and hardware bugs.
