Housing Resolutions Officer - Newton Abbot and Teignbridge
An invitation to join us at Young Devon as our new Housing Resolutions Officer Newton Abbot & Teignbridge - (24-69).
29.6 hours per week, with opportunities to pick up additional work on other contracts, subject to availability and suitability.
Salary: £25,019 per annum / pro rata.
Permanent contract, part-time.
Are you committed to working with and supporting young people aged 16-25 and those that are care experienced? Do you have resilience, creativity, and the personal qualities to coach our young people into developing life skills to manage independently?
We work in partnership with Teignbridge District Council, supporting young people aged 16-25 who may have experienced multiple disadvantages as they transition into independence.
This role gives you the opportunity to engage and work alongside young people aged 16-25 years and support them to maintain or access accommodation. You will need to build relationships of trust and understanding while responding to a young person's needs through a trauma-informed lens. You will support them to make decisions, have their voice heard, and obtain the services they need. We want to support young people to achieve their housing aspirations.
Knowledge of housing protocols, legislation, and housing options would be an advantage. However, training will be given for this specialised post.
If you think you have what it takes, especially if you have experience of working in housing or with care-experienced young people, then we would love to hear from you.
Young Devon is a youth work charity (1057949) that is actively committed to embracing diversity.
