A warm and busy family in Rugby are seeking a caring and dedicated Nanny, to primarily care for their 3 year old daughter, who requires support with all aspects of her care, including feeding, moving and handling, due to a rare condition, affective her mobility and cognitive functioning. This sweet little girls loves engaging with sensory toys and activities, to help promote her development.
G3 also has two older sisters, twin girls aged 7, who require support with pick-ups and drops off at the beginning and ends of the day. The family thrive on a routine for their daughters, maintaining feeding times and ensuring opportunity for physio stretches for G3 throughout the day, to aid her mobility.
G3 uses a wheelchair, and the ideal Nanny would hold experience in working with children with additional needs, however this is not essential and all training can be provided. Due to G3’s condition, she is highly vulnerable, and is unable to mix much outside the family, so the ideal Nanny would be sensitive and aware of this. Knowledge and understanding of child development would be beneficial within this role, to aid G3’s developing communication, as she progresses.
Cooking is not required for this role, the family will cook meals ahead of time. G3’s meals will just need defrosting and preparing at the time, which will consist of a soft food diet only. At midday, G3 has a short nap, whereby the family can offer a 1 hour break for the Nanny, to either take off and rest, or to keep on top of light housekeeping tasks like laundry, and general tidying and organisation.
