We are currently looking for a Stock Allocation Specialist to join our team in our award-winning business in our office in Ayr. This position is based onsite and is permanent.

We are seeking a Stock Allocation Specialist to manage inventory distribution and ensure accurate stock allocation for order fulfillment. This role reports directly to the 3PL Distribution Manager but also has a dotted-line reporting relationship to the Order Management Team Lead, ensuring stock availability aligns with order priorities and fulfillment performance goals.
What you’ll be doing:
1. Allocating stock across multiple warehouse locations based on order volume and customer priority.
2. Monitoring stock levels and adjusting allocations dynamically to prevent shortages, over allocations or fulfillment delays.
3. Collaborating with stock controller and 3PL partner to identify and resolve sock discrepancies between system records and physical inventory and ensure smooth stock movements.
4. Working with the Order Management Team Lead to ensure stock is allocated effectively to meet customer commitments.
5. Maintaining accurate stock allocation records using Sage.
6. Supporting the order management team by providing real-time inventory insights for order prioritization and fulfillment planning.
7. Assisting the Order Management Team Lead in preparing and submitting work orders to the 3PL warehouse, ensuring accuracy in picking, packing and shipping instructions.
8. Tracking work order execution and warehouse processing times, escalating delays to the Order Management Team Lead when necessary.
9. Ensuring order to pack turnaround times are met by tracking stock readiness and work order completion.
10. Identifying opportunities for automation in stock allocation and work to order processes.
About you:
11. Previous experience in stock allocation, inventory management, supply chain or logistics.
12. Proficiency in ERP, WMS and OMS platforms (Sap, Oracle, NetSuite etc).
13. Strong knowledge of 3PL operations, warehouse workflows and order fulfillment processes.
14. Ability to analyse stock availability and make quick allocation decisions to support order priorities.
15. Detail orientated with strong problem solving skills.
16. Strong collaboration skills, working wit 3PL providers, logistics teams and order management specialists.
