Job Title: Mental Health Practitioner
Cambian Group, the UK’s largest provider of specialist services in children’s residential care, education, mental health rehabilitation, and learning disabilities, is seeking a dedicated Mental Health Practitioner.
Responsibilities:
1. Work within an existing multidisciplinary team.
2. Provide regular consultation to 5-6 care homes to support therapeutic work with looked after children, including training, reflective practice, care planning, and management.
3. Embed PACE principles in practice and offer expert staff advice.
4. Supervise other Mental Health Practitioners, Clinical Psychology Trainees, Healthcare Students, and Assistants, depending on experience.
5. Conduct specialist assessments of children and young people within residential settings and prepare psychological reports.
Candidate Profile:
* Enthusiastic, motivated, and forward-thinking.
* Experience in CAMHS, particularly in Looked After Children’s services or therapeutic environments.
* Relevant qualifications for providing long-term therapy to children.
* Registered with the appropriate professional body (e.g., HCPC).
* Strong team player with excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
Beneficial Skills:
* Previous experience working with children and adolescents.
