An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a new cutting-edge scientific venture developing a truly unique piece of medical technology that has the potential to transform its field and improve countless lives.
The role:
We’re seeking a proactive and adaptable Operations Manager to join a small team, reporting directly to the CEO you will be instrumental in shaping the foundations of a high-impact scientific venture. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the day-to-day administration and activities of the company, including the project management and reporting of a major European Innovation Council grant - ensuring compliance and helping drive the successful delivery of key project milestones. You will also manage lab and office facilities, playing a vital role in maintaining smooth operations and supporting the company’s growth during this exciting early phase.
In addition you will be responsible for HR co-ordination, finance administration, IT systems, supplier and stakeholder communications, and contribute to setting up dedicated labs and offices over the next 18 – 24 months Flexibility, initiative, and a can-do attitude will be essential in this varied and rewarding role.
About you:
This is an ideal opportunity for someone with operational experience in a scientific or technical setting - whether from a lab, research, start-up, or administrative background. It also suits postgraduates or PhD students looking to expand beyond academia. Experience with grant-funded research projects, especially EU grants, would be an advantage as would a working knowledge of scientific or technical environment. The role would particularly suit someone with a typical STEM background—or someone who is eager and able to learn.
Above all, you’ll be a team player ready to grow with the company, build the operational framework from the ground up, and contribute to bringing world-changing medical technology to market.
