Role Summary
Equiniti Retirement Solutions (EQRS) is seeking an experienced change and delivery expert to take on the role of Head of Portfolio Delivery Private Sector, managing a portfolio of resources across in excess of 60 clients ranging from £1k - £5m revenue for individual projects and delivering the required benchmark profit threshold or greater.
This position will be accountable for the Private Sector Portfolio covering both internal and client driven change and projects ensuring that appropriately skilled and capable resource is efficiently deployed to deliver against the EQRS business plan and within budget revenue and profit parameters. Reporting into the Managing Director of EQRS Private Sector you will be an expert in business and change management with significant experience in software and process delivery within the financial services and ideally retirement solutions environments.
This is a fulltime role and will be expected to be in EQ locations/site a minimum of 3 days a week.
Core Duties/Responsibilities
1. Accountable for the project and change delivery, planning and prioritisation alongside other Portfolios and the wider EQRS management team and accountable for ensuring sufficient project delivery resource is in place and/or obtained to support delivery of all activity in the Sector, including the facilitation of priority and demand with other EQ Shared Services.
2. Ensuring the project and change revenue targets are delivered with appropriate resources in line with budget expectations and commercial parameters expected by EQ Group
3. Accountable for the reporting across the portfolio of projects and change, aligning a regular executive summary with the wider Equiniti group reporting standards.
4. Ensuring all Private sector change follows Equiniti’s Change framework including all governance of change is adhered to including RIAD logs, reporting, approvals and processes.
5. Accountable as the key stakeholder and voice of change for the private sector across the wider Equiniti business areas
6. Line management, both direct teams covering small change, onboarding and exits and BAU support and indirect through a matrix model environment.
7. Contribute to the development of the annual business plan for the Sector- goals and objectives ensuring it is cascaded and implemented across the team.
8. Ensuring the delivery pipeline is in line with revenue targets, working closely with the PMO and a Finance business partner, this includes regular commercial reviews tracking actuals against forecasts.
9. Acting as a deputy to the Managing Director of Private Sector Retirement Solutions when required
10. The role will fall under the FCA SMCR regime.
Skills, Capabilities and Attributes
11. Must have extensive experience in delivery, consulting or operations experience in the financial services industry or a multi-national firm.
12. Change leader, adaptable to change and effective in leading others through change.
13. Proven track record in managing complex portfolios of change/project delivery and in leading multi-disciplinary teams.
14. Analytical thinker, able to identify problems, assess root cause, and development and implement remediation solutions.
15. Strategic and visionary thinking and the ability to communicate clearly to a range of stakeholders including experience with providing “executive ready” updates (verbal and written)
16. Ability to ensure activities and objectives are aligned with the organisational objectives.
17. Proven senior management capability, setting clear targets and expectations for teams.
18. Ability to influence and gain credibility quickly across a diverse business.
19. Ability to build strong relationships and comfortable working and leading in a matrix environment.
20. Strong collaboration and relationship management skills across all levels of an organisation.
21. Ability to prioritise multiple projects/initiatives.
22. Highly commercial, financially literate with cost centre management experience.
