We are seeking a Lead Maintenance Engineer to provide reactive and preventative maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment at our Belle Eau Park facility in Bilsthorpe Nottinghamshire.
Duties and responsibilities:
1. Managing the performance of maintenance work, both preventative and corrective.
2. Carrying out and registering mandatory inspections.
3. Assessing the in- and outsourced technical activities of Lineage in the designated site, and developing existing and new talent.
4. Liaising with HR and the Site Manager on all recruitment, termination of employment, promotion, and salary/payroll issues of maintenance employees.
5. Conducting appraisal and performance interviews.
6. Responsible for the spare parts in accordance with the established procedure and ordering spare parts after approval.
7. Ensuring an optimal stock of spare parts.
8. Engaging suppliers for efficient handling of malfunctions/repairs as necessary.
9. Working closely with Site Management to ensure timely and correct coordination of actions/activities.
10. Administering company policies and managing local SOPs.
11. Investigating accidents according to the company’s accident investigation procedures.
12. Assisting with resolving employee concerns and maintaining open lines of communication with all levels of the organisation.
13. Supervising, training, providing performance feedback, and assigning duties within the Maintenance Team to ensure health and safety adherence and conducting weekly meetings with Site Management and the engineering team.
14. Resolving breakdowns, reducing downtime, and improving plant reliability.
15. Supporting the maintenance and wider team in working together to solve problems to keep our facility moving.
16. Working in a cold environment – approximately minus 20 degrees – with provided PPE including coats, hats, and boots.
17. Working on ladders and safety harness at height when necessary.
Who we're looking for:
1. Multi-skilled, electronically and mechanically qualified, NVQ level 3 or apprenticeship trained, with mechanical experience.
2. Experience in successful distribution and warehouse engineering/maintenance management and leadership.
3. A business background including competency in maintaining/engineering various functional areas of refrigeration, MHE, building maintenance, IT systems, and supply chain optimization.
4. Good interpersonal skills and enjoyment of teamwork.
5. Willingness to learn and improve skills.
6. Own transport due to the location of this facility, as public transport is not available.
