Job Title Senior Product Marketing Manager Job Description We're looking for a Senior Product Marketing Manager to join our global Network and Platform product marketing team, working with our Sage Network and Medium Platform teams. The Senior Product Marketing Manager will craft a collection of API propositions that meets the needs of our partners, external developers and internal developers. Using strategic thinking and customer analysis to deeply understand the range of developer personas we want to attract and drive to our developer experience platform. The role will need to provide competitive and market insight into the pain points we can solve with our APIs, developer platforms, ecosystems, marketplaces and app stores, and the trends including intelligent developer technologies, and creating clarity around how we win. To do this will require significant understanding of technical solutions that can be monetised, how to build out customer segmentation strategies, and clarity around vertical industries we want to serve and crafting targeted propositions to enable the regional growth plans. What's in it for you? You will be responsible for the creation and delivery of creative and disruptive value propositions, pricing strategies, and the launch of our Sage for Developer suite. You'll get ownership of building propositions across our tech and innovation areas of the business, making a real impact on the way we position our API offerings to partners and our developer community. You will be developing creative and innovative product marketing strategies, positioning and messaging driven by customer insight, that gain key buyers' mindshare and through the delivery of successful commercial results whilst taking the complex and making it simple and relevant, for marketing through compelling stories and for driving new innovations in digital experience and understanding how future applications built on our platform will add value to the end users. Location - Hybrid, 3 days per week from our Newcastle or Winnersh office. Key Responsibilities In this role, you'll immerse yourself in the Sage Network API, driving the launch of an innovative proposition to market later this year. You'll collaborate across engineering, business strategy, partner, and product management teams to bring a suite of developer and partner solutions to life. Your day-to-day will include: • Building a deep understanding of the accounting developer landscape, including customer personas, competitor insights, and trends across fintech, Sage partners, and internal developers. • Crafting customer value propositions that align with growth strategies, including defining pricing and packaging frameworks to differentiate our brand in the market. • Leading efforts to enhance the developer experience while launching the new Sage for Developers suite. • Partnering with regional teams to design and execute go-to-market strategies, including messaging, positioning, and channel approaches tailored to local markets. • Monitoring and optimizing in-market propositions by identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities, ensuring seamless customer migration as their needs evolve. • Collaborating with Product Management to develop customer-led insights that shape product strategy and innovation. • Acting as a global ambassador for Sage by contributing thought leadership, creating exceptional content, and representing the company at industry events, in media, and online. Skills, know-how and experience: • Experience in a customer and commercially led Product Marketing role with deep domain expertise and a track record of building and executing product and proposition growth strategies across multi-functional teams • Experience of launching developer platforms and Appstore/marketplace, disrupt markets through innovative ideas balanced with market research against a strategic plan. • Strong knowledge of building an API and data driven propositions, which includes a deep understanding of the business needs and challenges faced by customers, and competitors in the space. • Experienced in product marketing methodologies, including Human Centred Design (HCD) combined with marketing/communications and ability to work with marketing and sales/channel teams. • Proven creative thinker that independently generates and executes on innovative marketing ideas. Proven track record in crafting compelling positioning and thought leadership content.
