Apple Recruitment are recruiting for an ICT Project Manager (Band 7) on behalf of Business Services Organisation.
Main duties and responsibilities:
Service Delivery
1. Lead and deliver small to medium sized ICT projects to time and budget as directed and advised.
2. Work collaboratively with all stakeholders to develop business cases; Manage projects through the required formal approval stages such business case approvals.
3. Develop plans and strategies for delivery of projects. Produce documentation and reports in line with BSO and HSC Standards and Practices as appropriate. Report project progress through Highlight Reports, Stage and Exception Plans as required;
4. Collaborate effectively with vendors/third party suppliers in the procurement, implementation and transition of small to medium sized ICT Systems, Solutions and Services.
5. Follow agreed procedures and specialist advice, such as legal or procurement services, as required to effectively deliver a project.
6. Maintain Project Risks and Issue Logs.
7. Liaise with Programme Managers and related projects to ensure that project deliverables are coordinated and duplication is avoided where possible.
Quality & IT Service Management Best Practice
1. Participate fully in BSO quality initiatives particularly those involving ITS and specifically the application of ISO 20000;
2. Use and compliance with the ITS service management processes for all service management activity.
3. Plan and support service transition to customers and IT operational teams.
4. Monitor and maintain performance of ICT services ensuring adequate capacity and availability of services taking both proactive and reactive action when required;
5. Follow BSO ITS change, release and configuration management processes;
6. Ensure ICT Services operational documentation for which they are responsible for is kept up to date.
7. Assist in development and implementation of regional protocols and guidelines as required. Key input to the development and implementation of robust monitoring systems for the delivery of systems and services.
8. Act as the primary point of contact in the absence of the line manager for relevant services in the event of a Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery. This includes assisting their manager with ensuring that proactive system related disaster recovery processes are documented, tested and kept up to date.

1. A university degree or professional qualification and have worked for at least 3 years’ experience in a project management role within a major organisation; OR
2. Have worked for at least 4 years in a project management role within a major Organisation.
3. Have experience of leading ICT supported projects with a budget of over £50,000.
4. Have previous experience utilising a project methodology (e.g. PRINCE 2, other similar methodology).
5. Have at least 2 years’ experience managing teams.
6. Excellent customer service skills.
7. Demonstrate evidence of personally managing and leading change within an organisation.
8. Have worked with a range of stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes.
9. Have excellent communication skills to meet the needs of the post in full.
10. Demonstrate high level organisational skills with the ability to work to demanding and competing timescales in the implementation, delivery and support of a complex service and customer management environment.
11. Strong competency in using desktop IT Microsoft Office suite of programmes, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, for analysis, presentation of data and creating reports.
12. Hold a current full driving licence which is valid for use in the UK and have access to a car on appointment. This criteria will be waived in the case of applicants whose prohibits driving but who have access to a form of transport approved by The Organisation which will permit them to carry out the duties of the post.

1. Hourly Rate: £22.37
2. Hours: 37.5 hours, Mon-Fri 9am-5pm
3. Duration: Up to 6 months with possibility of extension
