821CW Technical Resolution Engineer Hinkley Point C, Somerset Permanent, Full-time £270 PAYE - £370 UMBRELLA Job Title: Technical Resolution Engineer Description & Background: At Hinkley Point C we are proud to be at the forefront of nuclear energy. Join us as a Technical Resolution Lead at HPC and you'll be helping us to make sure we continue to do so. The successful applicant will a key member of the wider Technical Engineering Group within the Joint Design Office [JDO] and will manage the resolution of emergent design issues that span several work areas. The role will give visibility of a wide variety of topics across the project with an open remit to solve technical issues. Responsibilities: Be responsible for management or delivery of technical solutions to emergent transverse works issues. The issues will become more MEH issues with greater safety case implications as the project progresses. Build relationships across JDO R&A, JDO DT, Responsible Designer, Project Managers, Contract Managers and the construction contractors. Interface with TCO PWRT or TCO Safety Case team, where necessary. Identify and implement initiatives to improve project delivery. Participate in Configuration Management Board meetings. Contribute to the reporting of JDO KPIs. Experience Required: Be an organised, motivated individual able to communicate with a variety of stakeholders. Be able to demonstrate an ability to resolve straightforward issues of low complexity/risk in own technical discipline/area autonomously. Be a competent user of Microsoft software. A degree in engineering working towards chartership is desirable. No specific engineering disciple is necessary, although Civil engineering is desirable at this stage of the project. EPR building, plant and system knowledge is desirable. Understand design models and engineering drawings, Ability to use CAD is desirable.
