In this role you will be leading a team of testing and verification engineers to ensure a high standard of quality and assurance across Callen-Lenz flight control and application software. Role Responsibilities · Ownership and governance of testing tools, processes and script repositories. · Ensure sufficient test coverage is in place. · Collaboration with stakeholders to define software testing requirements. · Support Project Managers in scoping, defining, and estimating testing and verification tasks. · Ensure processes are followed by the software testing team. · Work closely with other Team Leads to align goals and maximise efficiency. · Line management responsibilities including 1-1s, goal setting, regular performance reviews, holiday and absence approval. · Definition of testing software design documentation and coding standards. · Assist the Software Engineering Manager where required, including recruitment. · Mentoring and coaching of team members in the use of software testing tools and techniques. · Knowledge sharing of the latest software testing and verification practices and tools. Perform other related duties as required About You Qualifications: Degree in a computing or engineering related subject. Skills: Essential · Significant experience of automated and manual testing of complex software. · Creating test reports including documented traceability to requirements. · Knowledge of a variety of testing and test management tools. · Mentoring and coaching software engineers. Desirable · Understanding of real time and embedded software. · Knowledge of safety related engineering practices. · Background of aeronautics and control systems. · Line management experience. · Previous experience or interest in drones or aviation. · Extensive domain knowledge of Callen-Lenz software.
