We are seeking a Seafarer Safety Advisor to join our team, to provide administrative and policy support for the promotion of seafarer's and fishermen's safety and health.
Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Administrative responsibility for the Code of Safe Working Practices for Merchant Seafarers (the Code) and related health and safety publications, including co-ordination of the annual update to the Code and publication of the related Marine Information Note, working in conjunction with the official publisher and PR as appropriate.
* To manage and monitor consultation exercises launched by the Seafarer safety and human element team.
* Monitoring developments in food safety training (under National Qualifications Framework), to ensure that catering staff on ships are suitably trained.
* To support financial transactions and monitoring of invoices and payments.
* To act as central contact point for all health and safety enquiries sent to Seafarer Safety mailbox.
