We have an exciting opportunity for an Operational Service Manager (OSM) to join the Nutrition & Dietetic service within Somerset NHS Foundation Trust. You will work with the Head and Deputy Heads of Service (Dietitians), supporting the effective and efficient operational management for our county wide team, as well as the direct management and leadership of the admin team.
This is a great time to join our service as we are integrating our acute hospitals and community teams and this new OSM role provides a unique opportunity for you to create, shape and develop the role to positively impact the service at the same time.
As our service covers the whole of the county of Somerset, there can be flexibility on the choice of local base and an element of remote working could be included.

Main duties of the job
Primarily you will work with the Head and Deputy Heads of Service to ensure that the Nutrition & Dietetic service is of a high quality, effective and efficient, in line with key national targets, clinical standards and Trust priorities. This will include supporting the operational management in the team, the development of strategy and service level agreements, monitoring of key performance indicators and supporting with finance, governance and risk management.
You will become an integral part of a progressive, friendly, welcoming team of Dietitians, Dietetic Apprentices, Dietetic Assistants, Nutrition Nurses and Administrative staff across Somerset NHS Foundation Trust.
