Your role at Prestige: To manage a designated Branch of Prestige Nursing, accountable for meeting the targets defined in the business plan and ensuring full compliance with quality and legislative standards. The Branch Manager reports to their Regional Manager. This involves the following major responsibilities: Achieve and maintain Registered Manager status with CQC. Compliance with ISO, and CQC requirements/legislation. Regular client visits/contact to retain and develop additional business with existing clients. Development of a recruitment strategy to match the business needs. Performance management of branch staff. Business development and marketing activities to identify and secure new business. Ensure efficient and timely placement of nursing and care staff. Day to day management of the branch, including the maintenance of accurate records. Providing reports/information for Regional Manager/Head Office as required. To meet objectives set by Regional/Business Manager. On call duties as agreed locally. Speicific Duties: The Branch Managers’ specific duties will include: To assess the branch performance against targets on a weekly and monthly basis, based on P&L’s Define a recruitment and retention strategy for the branch Manage the daily operation within the branch to ensure a cost effective and efficient service delivery. Ensuring that all recruitment of Nurses and Carers is carried out in accordance with ISO and CQC requirements. Promoting equal opportunities in recruitment, placement and training and development. Identification of training and development needs for branch staff. Dealing with complaints A continuous sales effort to develop the branch in designated markets Responsible for first line disciplinary and grievance of branch staff or members. Making presentations to new clients. Key account management Advising on pay and charge rates. Negotiating charge rates with clients. Ensuring effective placement of nursing and care staff in line with client needs Maintaining up to date and accurate records of all members, clients and placements, in line with procedures set out in Quality manual and as required by CQC. Managing the accurate processing of weekly timesheets on Webroster Providing regular reports to senior management as requested. Key factors to sucess: Understanding the market and services/products that Prestige can provide. Ability to sell. Committed to delivering the service to the highest standard, ensuring compliance. Good management skills. The ability to communicate well at all levels. Effective time management and organisational skills. Competence/Characteristics: The Branch Manager will have recruitment experience. Knowledge of the healthcare market would be advantageous. The Branch Manager must be deemed suitable by CQC as a ‘fit’ person. The Branch Manager should also have the following key characteristics: Smart and professional appearance. Articulate with the ability to put across ideas succinctly and clearly. Computer literate in Microsoft Word. Ability to work on own initiative – self-starter, able to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively. Confident in selling. Good team leader/player, able to motivate others. Excellent organisational/administration skills. Ability to manage change. Skills and qualifications we’re looking for: Candidates should have a good basic education. A management or recruitment qualification is desirable. Candidates must be willing to study for and complete the Level 5 Diploma in Health & Social Care and Children and Young Peoples Services.
