We are seeking three innovative and experienced colleagues to join the leadership team of NHS Lancashire & South Cumbria Talking Therapies. The service is a large provider of psychological therapies in the Lancashire and South Cumbria region. You will be joining a group of experienced, knowledgeable, and passionate clinical and operational leads. We are committed to continued professional development clinically, as a supervisor, and as a leader. There will be three specific roles and successful candidates are expected to already be trained to supervisor level. The roles will be varied in supporting specific Talking Therapies teams and their interface with other services, in a co-production model with team leaders and deputy team leaders.
1 x full-time, permanent 8a Clinical Lead post with a focus on Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) training, supervision, and pathways.
1 x full-time, permanent 8a Clinical Lead post with a specific focus on Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT) training, supervision, and pathways.
1 x full-time, permanent 8a Senior Clinical Psychologist post with a specific focus on Long-term conditions (LTC) pathways in the service with a focus on new partnerships with physical health teams as well as the provision of clinical supervision in groups.
Main duties of the job
To work as a member of the NHS Lancashire & South Cumbria Talking Therapies Leadership Team to deliver a quality and innovative service.
To provide professional and clinical leadership to the High Intensity Therapists across the full LSCFT NHS Talking Therapies footprint.
To take delegated responsibility as the aligned clinical lead for a designated locality.
To work closely, utilising a co-production model, with designated Team Leaders to ensure the systematic provision of a high-quality NHS Talking Therapies Service across that Locality and ultimately across the LSCFT footprint.
To ensure that robust supervision arrangements are in place for the relevant Step 3 High Intensity Therapist workforce.
To work alongside a range of different professionals, practice teams, and practice audit through networking and the wider health and social care system to deliver care in the Primary Care setting.

Qualifications
Essential
* Postgraduate Diploma in High Intensity Cognitive Behaviour Therapy OR British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy accredited counselling course at diploma level or equivalent OR British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy Accreditation or equivalent.
* EMDR practitioner accreditation.
* EMDR consultant level, or working towards becoming a Consultant.
* Master's Degree/Level 7 in a relevant subject or equivalent knowledge & experience leading to a high degree of expertise and knowledge of specialist therapeutic procedures in the specific specialist field within NHS Talking Therapies.
* Evidence of post qualification supervisor training and delivery of clinical supervision.
* Recognised qualification in CBT to postgraduate level with BABCP accreditation, or a commitment to Clinical Psychologist top-up training with NHS Talking Therapies.
Knowledge
Essential
* Advanced level knowledge of research methodology, research design, and complex, multivariate data analysis as practiced within the clinical fields of psychology.
* Clearly demonstrable in depth and breadth knowledge in relation to Counselling/CBT/IPT theory and practice.
* HCPC registration as practitioner psychologist.
* Knowledge of the NHS Talking Therapies model.
* Well-developed skills in the ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, complex, highly technical and/or clinically sensitive information to clients, their families, carers, and other professional colleagues both within and outside the NHS.
Experience
Essential
* Significant experience delivering High Intensity Step 3 assessment and treatment of patients (EMDR as well as CBT or Counselling).
* Experience of working with a wide variety of clients that reflect the full range of clinical severity including maintaining a high degree of professionalism in the face of highly emotive and distressing problems, verbal abuse, and the threat of physical abuse.
* Experience of providing CBT, PCE-CfD or IPT clinical supervision to CBT Therapists or Counsellors.
* Experience of specialist psychological assessment and treatment of patients across a range of care settings.
* Experience of providing formal and informal supervision to other mental health professionals.
