My client are a Real Estate Investment business who are now looking to bring in an experienced Financial Controller/ Head of Finance to drive and contribute to a best-in-class finance function. Key Responsibilities: Design and implement institutional quality finance function best practices. Support management in setting business line goals, objectives and plans, and work with them on attaining such goals by closely monitoring their operations. Lead the financial planning and forecasting of business performance. Lead the annual budgeting process so that it supports the initiatives of the company and serves as the strategic template for the growth of the business. Lead monthly reporting process, delivering timely, accurate information with appropriate commercial overlay to support the Board in its decision-making process. Provide financial and business support to the MD for both on-going business and the evaluation of any new opportunities. This will include leading monthly business reviews and other key projects. Accurately forecast results and ensure that all stakeholders have the appropriate tools to communicate expected operating results both internally and externally. Support the MD in property operations ensuring the integrity of underlying asset financial data and reporting. Assist in driving the improvement of cash flow performance and managing the liquidity needs of the company. Provide financial expertise, information, and insight, and make recommendations with supporting data and rationale. Develop and cultivate strong relationships with all stakeholders, internal and external. Qualifications: Qualified Accountant with significant PQE Real Estate/ Portfolio Management industry experience is desirable. Excellent accounting skills coupled with strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy are pre-requisites for the role.
