LOCATION: Engineering and Construction Campus
Main Roles and Responsibilities
1. Working with the Industry Placement team, you will ensure students are matched to high quality work placements.
2. A good understanding of the requirements of T Level qualifications and ensuring industry placements adhere to high standards.
3. Reporting and presenting work experience opportunities to groups of students.
4. Preparing students to go out on work experience, ensuring they complete the required hours and generating the required evidence.
5. Completing health and safety visits as required.
6. Working closely with curriculum teams to ensure a smooth process for all students.
7. Monitoring students on placement and ensuring issues are dealt with efficiently.
8. Producing regular reports on progress.
9. Developing an understanding of how own and teams work supports achievement of departmental priorities and organisational success.
10. Taking responsibility for the quality of own work and keep manager informed of how the work is progressing.
11. Identifying own skills, knowledge and behaviour gaps to inform own development plan and discuss these with the line manager.
12. Developing a range of contacts outside own team to help get the job done.
13. To contribute to the effective management and promotion of equality and diversity.
14. To work in accordance with the Health & Safety at Work Act, ensuring the College is a safe environment for staff, students and visitors.
15. To promote with staff and students the importance of safeguarding the welfare of children and vulnerable adults they are responsible for and come into contact with.
16. To work at all times in accordance with North Hertfordshire College’s policies and procedures.
17. To carry out such duties as may be required from time to time by the college that are appropriate to the grade of the post.
