We have an exciting opportunity for a Production Shift Supervisor to join our client in Coalville, Leicestershire.
As a Production Shift Supervisor, you will supervise a production team within a timber engineering facility. You will work across the different areas of production including an automated cutting department, automated and manual production lines, product wrapping and dispatch, maintaining the highest level of safety, environmental and product quality standards.
What you will have…
1. A minimum of 3 year's experience in a manufacturing supervisory position, ideally within the timber engineering and industry
2. A natural leader and communicator, and have experience with managing and developing many people in a fast-paced environment
3. A good understanding of Health & Safety
4. Confidence in a variety of manufacturing processes, including the general upkeep and running of machinery

5. You will be responsible for competently supervising all areas of production and dispatch on your shift
6. You will ensure all safety and environmental policies are adhered to and applied consistently
7. You will work collaboratively with the opposite shift
8. You will develop and train team members to carry out tasks in their own area of expertise and be involved in their assessment by providing feedback
9. You will be responsible for overseeing the quality standards on your shift and reporting, taking appropriate action if required
10. You will ensure that expected material requirements are in place, resolving material shortages where possible
11. You will be flexible and willing to assist in busier periods where necessary, taking a hands-on role to ensure that production schedules are met
