We are now recruiting for a skilled and detail-oriented Powder Coater to join our team.
You should have a strong background in fabrication and mechanical processes, with the ability to work effectively in a manufacturing environment.
As our Powder Coater, you will be specifically responsible for:
1. Preparing surfaces for powder coating by cleaning and masking as necessary.
2. Operating powder coating equipment, ensuring proper application techniques are followed.
3. Inspecting finished products for quality assurance and adherence to specifications.
4. Fabricating and assembling components as required prior to coating.
5. Maintaining a clean and organised workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
6. Collaborating with team members to meet production deadlines and quality standards.
7. Performing routine maintenance on equipment and reporting any issues promptly.
In order to be successful in this role you must have:
1. An engineering background with an ability to read technical drawings.
2. Demonstrable experience in powder coating / paint shop / manufacturing.
3. The ability to use hand tools and power tools relevant to fabrication and assembly tasks.
4. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
5. Experience in welding is advantageous but not essential.
6. Basic maths skills for measuring and mixing materials accurately.
7. Familiarity with painting techniques and processes.
8. A strong attention to detail to finish items to a high standard.
9. Good communication and organisational skills.
10. The ability to prioritise your own workload and work well under minimal supervision.
