Formula 1 is looking to recruit a London-based Senior Manager with extensive experience in selling digital media products into UK Media Agencies and brands directly with a view to EMEA expansion. Reporting into the Head of Digital Advertising & Content Partnerships in London.
Our primary goal is to drive digital investment across our website, app, audio, and social channels by delivering innovative, best-in-class media packages for our clients. The selected candidate will be entrepreneurial, a comfortable presenter, and a team player.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
* Lead the sales team and help drive development across F1’s digital sales portfolio.
* Work with the Head of Digital Advertising & Content Partnerships to create sales strategies and execute these across the team.
* Build and drive forward individual pipeline to achieve ambitious revenue goals whilst contributing to building a successful sales culture.
* Continue to raise the F1 profile within UK and EMEA media agencies with regular face-to-face meetings and sales presentations.
* Help build and grow long-term partnerships with international clients and agencies, focused on existing F1 & team sponsors, car endemics, and local endemic brands.
* Create valuable sales presentations leveraging F1 brand statements, insights, case studies, and delivering optimal service to our clients.
About You
* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
* Extensive experience in advertising sales or sports sales environment.
* Ideally have experience managing a team of sales individuals.
* Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
* Experience in selling branded content is preferable.
* Highly organized individual with the ability to work collaboratively and self-motivate with a strong work ethic throughout.
* An excellent relationship builder with ability to network with both junior and senior media professionals.
* Strong presentation skills and ability to produce high-quality collateral. PowerPoint & Excel skills a requirement.
* Deep knowledge of the UK media industry and pre-existing relationships with agency planners and buyers.
* Good knowledge of programmatic advertising and understanding of trading deals.
* Account management/business development/strategy experience highly valued.
* Sound negotiation skills.
* Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM software system.
* An understanding of F1 or love of sports will be an advantage.
* Resourceful: a true self-starter! Proactive and can-do attitude.
* Team player with excellent communication skills to build strong relationships with advertisers and internal teams.
* Attention to detail.
* Resilient with the ability to handle high-pressure situations with poise, confidence, and sense of humour.
