This is a fantastic opportunity for a senior business leader to join the European Ads business helping to accelerate Samsung Advertising’s opportunity in multiple markets. This role will lead all customer (advertiser and agency) facing activity for Samsung Ads across Europe and MENA (19 markets). You will directly lead the Sales team within Samsung Ads, tasked with growing the number of accounts using our advertising platform. Coupled with this you will be responsible for our Client Solutions team who account manage all our client/agency relationships i.e. Pre/during and post sales. Role and Responsibilities Your key responsibilities Reporting into the SVP of ESBO, the Director of Ad Sales responsibilities include: Act as an inspiring leader and influencer within Samsung Ads (Internal and external). Building and developing strategic relationships with Agency and client leaders across Europe in order to build structured plans to develop partnerships. Develop and implement a comprehensive customer engagement strategy. Represent Samsung Ads Europe internally with key teams i.e. Ad product/Engineering, Ad Product Marketing and public relations. Cultivate strong connections with peers across the globe, and, when applicable, share standard processes. Own and define the ongoing strategy for our CTV Ad monetization solutions across Europe. Own and help define future strategies for Samsung Ads products as we diversify our revenue streams Providing accurate forecasting/tracking/revenue reporting Collaborate with internal collaborators such as Product/BD/Marketing teams to establish our roadmap and assist in prioritising product capabilities. Ensure solutions and strategies are delivered and aligned to optimise efforts relating to companywide goals. Take ownership and serve as the CTV enthusiast across the EU advertising industry, ensuring Samsung’s core CTV products and services are always front of mind for customers through representation at key trade fairs and associated panel events. Collaborate with Product, Marketing, and the wider EU functional teams to implement a long-term roadmap of TV-focused central initiatives that improve new and existing products. Your key people management responsibilities – Leading Others Only Provide clarity on strategy, team purpose & value and define the key areas of focus and direction. Support the development of your team through regular mentoring, coaching and feedback, 1:1s and on the job learning opportunities. Role model inclusion for your team to build trust and psychological safety. Ensure communication with your team is a core focus area including cascade of information from LT’s and relevant business updates. Handle the on boarding, off boarding process and the entirety of the colleague lifecycle process for all team members. Run all annual people management cycles such as goal setting, evaluation and salary reviews to a high quality and in a timely manner. To be responsible for ensuring your team aligns with our processes and procedures, including meeting mandatory business cyclical deadlines and understanding what we value as a company. Lead a team of Pan-EU Sales Managers and their respective teams with emphasis on growing our advertiser accounts What we need for this role To be successful, you will possess the following skills and attributes: Shown experience in full lifecycle sales within media or technology company with experience in TV advertising, digital media, and advertising platforms. Experience leading large teams (60) whilst delivering results, establishing relationships and collaborating internally as you work with our strategic clients. Experience engaging with and influencing senior executives within our key partner and agency customers A proven track record to mobilise and scale large sales organisations Experience at an online publisher, broadcaster, ad network, ad exchange, ad server,, DSP, or other online advertising role Experience establishing longstanding, consultative client relationships Experience leading commercial negotiations for large global accounts with a history of delivering results Possess the ability to coach your team, creating a strong succession plan Proven record of accomplishment of exceeding revenue expectations. Willingness to travel for business meetings and company off-sites. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. You should have a consistent record of exceeding important metrics in various territories. What does success look like?
