JOB TITLE: Senior Manager, Risk Advisory, Projects & Framework
LOCATION(S): Leeds, Bristol, Halifax or Edinburgh
HOURS: Full time
WORKING PATTERN: Hybrid, 40% (or two days) in an office site
About this Opportunity
As a Senior People Risk Specialist, you’ll work closely with the business to analyse, evaluate and oversee the People Risk and control environment, to support robust risk management in alignment with the Group’s Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF).
You’ll develop and implement the risk and control oversight plan, performing deep dives and thematic reviews and providing advice & support during regulatory change and business projects, participating in business and functional governance forums, providing review and challenge, raising any issues where required.
What you’ll need:
* Technical Risk Knowledge - Insight & Data - adopts a data evidenced approach and uses expertise to provide leadership & insight including leading all aspects of thematic reviews.
* Operational Risk Frameworks - Considered a subject matter expert, with a deep understanding of the latest Operational Risk frameworks and technology being used across financial and non-financial services. Demonstrate deep understanding of applicable employment law, regulation, industry standards, and established practices in the technical subject area. Experience of developing and owning group-level policy and setting risk-appetite, with expertise in continuous monitoring and reporting on group exposure. Able to set control objectives and performance indicators.

Able to interpret new operational risk regulation, emerging risks and technology innovations with forethinking to anticipate the impact of changes on the Group and act accordingly.
* Influencing - Uses strong communication skills to build partnerships and work collaboratively with others, including Risk Owner, Control Owner and Control Office to meet shared objectives. Able to work effectively with all other lines of defence and understands the different but complimentary roles. Seen as the credible Operational Risk specialist and expert across the Group to help deliver against aligned customer, business and strategic outcomes. Builds effective, ongoing data-led Operational Risk control objectives working with others, including external regulators. Acts as a cultural ambassador across the Group, emphasising the behavioural shift from defensive to transparent to ensure fair customer outcomes.
