Insurance Sales Advisor is a key player in the support and development of the agency operation primarily through the sales and service of Co-operators products (auto, home, business, life, disability, financial services, etc.) and the ability to identify and pursue opportunities for growth. Sales and striving to reach personal and team goals is an important aspect of this role. Although we are a small office, there is lots of opportunity for advancement.
What you’re responsible for:
1. Conducting inbound and outbound calls to prospect and proactively build a sales pipeline, developing marketing plans to promote insurance offerings and contributing to the achievement of sales, profitability, and growth goals.
2. Achieve individual goals for client service, sales, quality and productivity and contribute to the achievement of overall agency sales and growth goals.
3. Actively focus on prospecting for all lines of business by identifying and recommending additional products/services that best meet the client’s needs.
4. Complete front-line risk assessment and selection following underwriting guidelines.
5. Proactively complete client reviews on the auto, home, farm and/or commercial portfolio.
6. Working with clients to review goals, providing risk management advice and recommendations for coverage, completing policy updates, and documenting required changes.
7. Support programs to build multi-client relationships.
8. Respond to client questions and concerns, resolve customer complaints, and escalate issues appropriately.

To join our team:
1. General Insurance License is required or must be obtained within two (2) months.
2. Meet all provincial-licensing requirements to obtain and maintain all licenses.
3. Post Secondary education in Business Administration or related discipline.
4. A minimum of two (2) year sales experience or related business experience.
5. Bilingualism in English and French is an asset, but not a requirement.
6. Own your own vehicle and be willing to travel to both the Chelmsford and Val Caron offices.
7. You will be subject to a Criminal Record and Consumer History background check as a condition of employment, in the event you are the successful candidate.
