Position: Interim Technical Buyer / Procurement Specialist Duration: Initial 3 months, with potential for extension Location: Primarily on-site, with option for one day per week remote Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled Buyer / Procurement Specialist to join our team on an interim basis. This role focuses on technical procurement, particularly within the mechanical and electronic categories. Key Responsibilities: Plan and organise work schedules for mechanical and electronic categories. Ensure procurement of goods and services meets optimised cost, timely delivery, and required quality standards. Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure the best terms for the business. Liaise extensively with budget holders to understand stakeholder requirements and facilitate effective procurement activities. Advise on negotiation outcomes and alternative strategies to meet budgetary targets or desired outcomes. Required Skills & Qualifications: Strong background in engineering or manufacturing environments, with a solid understanding of technical drawings and manufacturing processes. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently. Outstanding communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
