Hours of Work: The hours of work will be:
Position 1: average 17.13 hours per week
Position 2: average 18.13 hours per week
Position 3: casual "as & when required" hours per week
Rate of Pay:
£7.43 per hour at age 16
£8.29 per hour at age 17
£11.44 per hour at age 18+

DETAILS OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1 To embrace the Core Values of BPL by delivering a quality service to both the
general public and BPL members.
2 To provide an efficient reception service to members of the public using
computerised equipment as appropriate.
3 To provide an effective telephone service for the facility, deal with enquiries,
bookings and direct debits as appropriate.
4 Responsible for issuing/collecting all tickets or bands for admission and
effective management of queues as necessary.
5 Daily cash handling and check cash float and till takings at the end of shift and complete
the necessary documentation in accordance with financial regulations.
6 To prepare registers of centre based activities.
7 As part of the role, promote and sell items of resale, maintain stock rotation on a
daily basis and carry out stock checks on a monthly basis.
8. Maintain and update records for items of lost property, deliveries and post.
9. To keep up to date with any BPL and stakeholder promotions such as passport to Leisure,
and any other BPL campaigns at various times of the year.
10. To complete monthly corporate training and any other training that is required in
order for you to carry out your duties within the role of a Receptionist.
11. To attend scheduled staff meetings to ensure that you are kept up to date
with all matter relating to your role and BPL.
And any other duties commensurate with the grade and falling within the scope of the post, as requested by Management.
