We are looking for someone to assist in our Drop-in Centre which runs Monday to Friday 10am – 4pm. This person will provide support and listening ear to people in need, help people access services, and share information about resources and services. We are looking for someone who can commit to either AM or PM sessions a couple days a week. We are particularly interested to hear from those who can converse in Arabic, Tigrinya, Somali, Amharic etc.This role is for 18+ year olds and an Access NI check will be required. We are based on Botanic Avenue, Belfast. We are looking for a few volunteers who can commit to either the morning or afternoon. If coming into the office is required, expenses can be covered (e.g. bus ticket). We can also assist with training opportunities, internally or externally.Help will always be at hand, whether this be Suleiman (founder and director), Abdulkariim (drop-in centre manager), the volunteer coordinator or even your fellow volunteers. This is an interesting role which will provide you with excellent experience working with a wide range of people from differing backgrounds as well as offering you a unique opportunity to give back to your local community.
