ISSAC is a successful social care company with over 150 staff, rated as good by CQC in all areas of care, seeking candidates for supported living care packages in Northumberland. Vacancies exist for supported living staff (days, waking nights, etc.) in Ashington, Morpeth and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities:
1. Provide support and assistance to individuals with physical or intellectual disabilities
2. Assist with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management
3. Help individuals participate in community activities and social events
4. Foster a safe and supportive environment for individuals
5. Document and report any changes in behaviour or health status to the appropriate supervisor
6. Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure the well-being of individuals
Experience:
1. Homecare or supported living: 1 year (preferred but not mandatory)
2. Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities (preferred but not mandatory)
3. Empathy and compassion towards individuals with disabilities
4. Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Qualifications, skills and licences:
1. Diploma of Higher Education (preferred but not mandatory)
2. IT skills (email, office applications)
3. English speaking, listening, reading, writing (mandatory)
4. Driving Licence (mandatory)
Conditions:
1. Expected hours: Not less than 24 per week
2. Pay: £12.10-£13.55 per hour (based on experience and package)
