Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 Per Annum (DOE)

Summary of the role:
The role will involve managing and developing a probate team, including directly overseeing team managers and fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture. Youll be responsible for ensuring compliance with legal and internal standards, optimising case management processes, and driving continuous improvement to enhance operational efficiency and client satisfaction. The position also involves strategic oversight, contributing to the divisions growth by setting and achieving key performance targets and expanding probate services nationwide. Ideal candidates are experienced legal professionals (Solicitor/Legal Executive) with proven leadership skills, strong organisational capabilities, and expertise in probate or private client law
Key Responsibilities:
Provide leadership and direction to the probate team, managing team managers and fostering a culture of collaboration, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
Establish clear performance expectations and promote team success through effective coaching, mentoring, and development initiatives.
Ensure full compliance with all legal, regulatory, and internal standards within the probate division.
Oversee case management, ensuring strict adherence to workflows, timelines, and organisational processes.
Identify and implement process improvements to drive operational efficiency and enhance the client experience.
Partner with senior leadership to develop and execute strategic goals that support the divisions growth and long-term objectives.
Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure business targets are met and exceeded.
Lead efforts to expand and enhance probate services across the firms national footprint.
Act as a subject matter expert in probate law, offering guidance to team members on complex cases and escalated issues.
Stay informed on legal developments in probate and private client law to ensure best practices are maintained.
Provide hands-on support for complex cases, ensuring high-quality outcomes and client satisfaction.
Key Skills & Experience:
Qualified Solicitor/Legal Executive with extensive experience in private client or conveyancing law.
Proven managerial experience, ideally leading a team of solicitors or legal professionals.
Strong organisational skills with a track record of implementing and managing robust processes.
Expertise in probate law is preferred but not essential; willingness to develop this expertise is required.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
A strategic mindset with a focus on delivering results and driving business growth.
