Job Title: Specialty Dr in Adult Psychiatry Grade: Specialty Dr Location: Colchester, Essex Working Hours: 40 hours per week Rate: Competitive, to be discussed upon application We are seeking an enthusiastic Specialty Dr in Adult Psychiatry to join our client’s dynamic team in Colchester, Essex. This vacancy is available on a locum basis for the successful candidate to start immediately for a short-term contract. What will your responsibilities be? You will be responsible for the comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with a wide range of mental health conditions. Your role will involve prescribing medications, conducting psychotherapy sessions, and providing electroconvulsive therapy when necessary. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring the highest standards of patient care. Additionally, you will participate in clinical governance activities, contribute to research and teaching, and engage in continuous professional development to stay abreast of the latest advancements in psychiatry. Your expertise will be crucial in managing acute psychiatric cases, supporting patients through their recovery journey, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to promote mental well-being within the community. Qualifications and Experiences: • You must have a full GMC license to practice • Section 12 • 12 months experience as a Specialty Dr in Psychiatry • Driving license and access to a car is essential How to apply?
