Overview
Key Responsibilities:
1. Prepare data and consult with actuaries and brokers
2. Populate actuarial templates – experience and exposure models.
3. Contribute to team meetings and overall team ethos
4. Deliver actuarial work in a clear coherent and consistent way and adhere to peer review actuarial peer review and compliance
5. Establish and maintain relationships with colleagues, reinsurers, and clients to support new business development within reinsurance actuarial services
6. Assist in project or client work through the utilization of any level team member
7. Sit the Institute of Actuaries exams, although they will consider individuals who no longer wish to pursue the exams
Qualifications required:
8. Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, Economics, Math, Statistics, or related field
9. Some exemptions to actuarial exams, although they will also consider individuals who no longer wish to pursue the exams
Experience required:
10. Technical experience of working in pricing, reserving or capital modelling
11. Coding experience utilising Python, R, SQL, VBA or other comparable platforms
12. Commercial mind-set
