The Enterprise data & integration architect is expected to provide data & integration architecture direction, support and assurance to IT projects and work with and support SGN’s Data Governance and Data and Analytics teams under the direction of the Head of Information Management. Here’s how you will contribute… The provision and maintenance of conceptual and logical data models, understanding how those fulfil the needs of the business and providing context and direction for their consistent interpretation in the implementation of physical data schemas in SGN applications and systems. Owning and maintaining the Enterprise data model in Orbus Infinity and be responsible for data modelling tools and standards. Working with the SGN Data Governance and Information Security teams to develop and manage appropriate data policies, standards, reference architectures, metadata and data dictionaries. Provide direction, support, guidance and assurance to IT delivery projects for the creation, upgrade, management, decommissioning and archive of data assets throughout the data lifecycle in compliance with policies and standards. Deliver and maintain SGN’s integration strategy and standards, working with the integration platform team to support the delivery of resilient, repeatable and secure integrations between systems. Support the delivery of our Open Data and data sharing commitments through the application of appropriate policies and standards and implementation of appropriate technologies. Supporting data technology architecture activities, including metadata, integration, data warehouse architecture, master data management, and MI/BI reporting, analytics and data science. Experience with some/all of the following technologies: Oracle products (EBS/Fusion ERP), IBM Maximo Enterprise Asset Management, Salesforce products (Mulesoft, Click Field Service Edge, Tableau), PowerBI, ServiceNow, ESRI ArcGIS, Talend, AWS, Microsoft 365, OrbusInfinity. Ability to communicate effectively across organisational, technical, and political boundaries, understanding the context. Simplify complex and technical information and language for non-technical audiences. Demonstrate ability to turn business problems into data designs spanning different business areas and organisational objectives, while implementing common solutions for cohesion across the estate.
