An Ofsted-rated GOOD primary school in Enfield is seeking an experienced and passionate Phase Leader and Key Stage 2 (KS2) Coordinator to join their dedicated team from January 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the leadership of a supportive and inclusive school environment, where every child is encouraged to reach their full potential.
Role Overview:
The successful candidate will lead and manage a phase team while overseeing the Key Stage 2 curriculum and standards across the school. They will ensure high-quality teaching and learning, promote academic excellence, and foster a nurturing environment where both staff and students thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage the performance and development of teachers and support staff within the phase.
* Oversee the planning, delivery, and assessment of the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
* Monitor and analyse pupil progress, ensuring appropriate interventions are in place for those who need additional support.
* Drive school improvement initiatives in line with the school’s vision and development plan.
* Support the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team (SLT) in maintaining high standards of teaching, learning, and pupil behaviour.
* Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and the wider school community.
* Foster a culture of inclusion, well-being, and respect, ensuring that the needs of all learners are met.
Candidate Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant teaching experience in a primary school setting.
* Proven leadership experience, ideally as a Phase Leader, Year Group Leader, or in a similar middle leadership role.
* In-depth knowledge of the Key Stage 2 curriculum and a track record of improving pupil outcomes.
* Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire both staff and students.
* A commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
* Experience in developing effective assessment strategies and using data to inform teaching practice.
* A passion for continuous professional development and a drive for personal growth as well as the growth of the team.
