A successful Scottish-based IT consultancy are currently on the lookout for an experienced Cloud Architect to join their ranks as they continue to grow their headcount. Their office is based in Edinburgh but they offer flexible working. They were established in 1999 and deliver a wide range of IT solutions for their clients across Scotland and the UK. This includes managed services, enterprise consulting and application development. They work with global companies in multiple sectors too like finance, education and renewables, so they have some really engaging and significant projects for you to work on. The role itself requires an experienced Cloud Architect to join their Enterprise team to assist with the architecture and design of their client’s cloud solutions on large-scale projects. It’s a great opportunity to work with some globally recognised clients on stellar projects. Saying this, the role carries a lot of responsibility, as you are required to take the reigns and drive these projects forward throughout the full project lifecycle. From identifying the initial requirements all the way through to delivery and support, you will be tasked with delivering exceptional cloud solutions for the client’s needs. Some of the main responsibilities are: Implementation of enterprise level cloud solutions. Requirement gathering, design, development, delivery & support. Transitioning workloads to cloud infrastructure. Integrating and overseeing large-scale cloud environments. Assisting clients with the adoption of cloud technologies throughout the full project lifecycle. They’re looking for someone with a proven track record of working with cloud-based technologies - specifically Azure – who has helped to support and design cloud infrastructure in past roles. It would be beneficial if you have worked in a consultancy role previously and enjoy the nature of working on long-term and large-scale projects for global enterprises. Ideally, the successful candidate will have some of these skills and experience: Designing Robust Multi-Site or Multi-Region Architectures. Migrating from on-prem to cloud. Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Bicep, Terraform). Public & hybrid cloud. Azure storage, security, identity and access management, firewalls. Experience with Windows and Linux technologies. The role would suit someone who is looking to join a growing and innovative company who enjoys working with the latest technology. They have an incredibly collaborative environment and are massive on upskilling. To aid this, they offer certification bonuses in an attempt to further your career. In return, they’re able to offer a salary of up to £75k with a strong benefits package including pension contribution, 30 days holiday (with option to buy more), personal development budget to spend on any technology you like, private healthcare and more.
