The purpose of the Supplier Assurance & Audit Specialist is to help implement the Supplier Assurance Strategy from within Shared Services. You will manage and undertake supplier assurance and compliance audits for Procurement & Supply Chain, ensuring there is management and control whilst ensuring compliance to contractual terms, legislation, and regulatory requirements.
What you'll be doing:
* Conduct both remote and onsite assurance and audit activities within our supply chain, ensuring that suppliers adhere to contractual, legislative or regulatory requirements while mitigating any risk to DLG.
* Input into the departmental strategy by communicating changes in key industry regulations, such as those from the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), to the Supplier Assurance Manager for implementation into strategy review/processes.
* Ensure that the external scope is tested and maintain a full audit trail to explain any decision not to test a scope item.
* Conduct due diligence assessments on suppliers to provide visibility of potential risks before onboarding.
* Ensure consistency of risk classifications and reporting, identifying and referring serious issues to the Supplier Assurance Manager.
* Manage internal and external stakeholders to ensure completion of assessment actions, maintaining appropriate evidence to support closure/resolution.
* Manage relationships with partners to develop scopes, deliver the assessment schedule, and oversee issue closure.
* Support wider requirements by responding to and providing professional service to ad hoc assessment requests beyond BAU work where appropriate.
What you'll need:
* Ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative.
* Experience within risk/audit/legal.
