We are seeking a dedicated Senior Clinical Trials Assistant to support the delivery of vital research studies. Role and Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct care to research participants, performing clinical tasks such as venesection, blood pressure monitoring, ECG recording, and anthropometric measurements within your scope of competence.
- Support the coordination and administration of clinical research studies, including scheduling participant visits, managing study documentation, and handling data entry.
- Ensure all research activities comply with Good Clinical Practice (GCP), study protocols, and relevant policies, including participant eligibility checks and informed consent procedures.
- Act as the first point of contact for trial-related enquiries, liaising with participants, relatives, and healthcare professionals while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
- Assist in study set-up and logistics, including sample shipments, stock management, and preparation for monitoring visits.
What We Are Looking For:
- Experience in a healthcare or research setting, understanding clinical trials and patient care.
- Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
- Knowledge of GCP and research governance, with a commitment to maintaining high compliance and documentation standards.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills.
Additional Information:
- The role requires flexibility to provide a 24/7 service based on the needs of the research studies and participants.
- Candidates may need to travel between sites; therefore, a driving licence or access to transport may be beneficial.
- This role may be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check due to the nature of patient contact.
