Neighbourhood Response Officer

We have had an exciting opportunity become available, to join a team covering Stevenage, Hertfordshire &Essex as a Neighbourhood Response Officer. This is a full time, temporary position with an initial contract period of 3 months. The postholder will work collaboratively with other teams, residents groups and external partners; ensuring estates are clean, safe and well maintained, and improvements are identified, planned and delivered, to ensure that the neighbourhoods are places that residents want to live.
Requirements
1. Experience of providing good customer service
2. Experience of dealing with customers in person
3. Customer focused
4. Enjoys working with people in the community
5. Confident and able to work alone
6. Demonstrates the ability and motivation to learn quickly and achieve results
7. Excellent communication skills
8. Full driving licence with use of own vehicle
9. Able to work early evenings and occasional weekends if required
10. Enhanced DBS Required
11. Full UK Driving Licence & Access to a vehicle required
Role Expectations
12. To deliver a customer focused housing management service to the community
13. Deliver a programme of regular estate inspections and prioritising fire safety risk assessment follow up work.
14. Work with local residents groups to develop local community facilities, activities and events as part of a neighbourhood plan and local offers.
15. Work collaboratively with local partners such as safer neighbourhood teams, the voluntary sector and youth services on neighbourhood safety and ASB issues, for ad hoc or routine meetings as appropriate
16. Carry out property and estate inspections and resolve any issues identified
17. Conduct viewings and sign ups or tenancy assignments
18. Ensure tenants properties and estates comply with legislation and agreed standards
19. Work alongside the community to develop community-based solutions
20. Serve relevant legal notices in accordance with policies and procedures
