JOB PURPOSE To assess and manage own caseload of patients, make a diagnosis, and to develop and deliver individual specialised physiotherapy treatment programmes. To work as an autonomous practitioner within the standards of professional practice laid down by the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and Health Professions Council. To work as part of the multi-disciplinary team, to deliver holistic care packages to children on the caseload, working in a range of settings including special and mainstream schools, early years centres and clients homes. Often this involves working as a lone clinician. To handle the mental, emotional and psycho-social aspects of working in Community Paediatrics including the management of children with complex / life limiting conditions.
