Provide comprehensive medical services as defined in the core GMS contract, and additional services where appropriate. Deliver high-quality clinical care while working autonomously as a GP, adhering to GMC standards and the GMS contract. Manage a diverse caseload, including the assessment and treatment of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems. Develop and implement care plans in consultation with patients, providing counselling and health education. Maintain accurate, contemporaneous consultation notes using EMIS clinical systems, and manage prescriptions according to guidelines. Lead the clinical team in day-to-day operations, providing support and guidance to both clinical and administrative staff. Participate in clinical auditing, data collection, and service development to meet practice and patient needs. Support the training of other healthcare professionals. Engage with local and national healthcare initiatives to enhance and sustain service delivery. Contribute to the management and improvement of practice processes, ensuring adherence to policies on confidentiality, data protection, and health and safety. Participate in routine clinics, on-call duties, and duty doctor rotas, while providing emergency cover as needed. Promote and support a culture of continuous learning, attending meetings, and contributing to clinical governance, quality improvement, and QOF achievement. Foster effective communication within the team and with patients, upholding equality, diversity, and patient confidentiality standards. Engage in personal and professional development, including participating in annual appraisals, revalidation, and maintaining professional registration.
