Due to growth within the group we have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Manager to join our team in Glasgow. The Finance Manager will support a number of UK Denholm Energy Services subsidiary companies.
The purpose of the Finance Manager position is to take ownership of the financial management, control, reporting and planning for these subsidiary companies. The successful candidate will partner with the companies’ operational and senior management, providing the necessary information for decision making, and also manage the interaction with internal and external auditors.
Main Responsibilities:
* Prepare, review and provide commentary for management accounts
* Prepare WIP accruals & project costs accruals and prepayments
* Interrogation of contract margin variances
* Quarterly forecast: preparation and commentary
* Annual budget: preparation and commentary
* Oversight of Credit Control
* Cash forecasts
* Project / contract budgets / proposals
* Year end audit planning / file preparation
* Year end statutory accounts preparation
* Year end tax computations
* Coordination of information for insurance renewal
* Develop and maintain good working relationship with company’s operational and senior management
To undertake other duties as may be reasonably required of you. There will be a requirement to travel within the UK.
Candidate Requirements:
* Qualified CA, ACCA, CIMA or qualified by experience
* Full UK Driving License
* Highly organised & efficient
* Proactive, ability to work on your own and as part of the team
* Evidence of excellent planning and organising skills
* Demonstrate the ability to work meticulously and accurately
* Ability to meet tight deadlines and handle changing workload priorities
* First class communication skills
* Computer literacy (database, internet, spreadsheet and word processing)
